Jazz Ensemble

We are proud to offer multiple jazz experiences for our students.

Jazz I is comprised of the top Saxophone, Trombone, and Trumpet and players in the MSHS Band program, as well as outstanding Percussion, Piano, Bass, and Guitar players.  Under the direction of Mr. Justin Sarns, the Mona Shores Jazz Ensemble is committed to playing the best of modern jazz literature as well as the standards that made big bands what they are today.

Jazz 2 is an extra-curricular ensemble made of developing jazz musicians.  Under the direction of Mr. Jason Boyden, Jazz 2 seeks to create a fun engaging environment for students to learn the fundamentals of jazz.

Jazz Combo is a small ensemble focused on learning the ins and outs of improvisational playing and communication.
